A low-emission fleet in constant evolution

Reducing the carbon footprint of our activities starts with transforming our main asset: the fleet. In four years, the share of low-emission vehicles (electric and hybrid) has almost doubled, now reaching 53% of the Group’s total fleet, compared to 27% in 2020. This progress has been made possible thanks to the integration of models such as the BMW i7, the Mercedes EQE, the Range Rover P440e hybrid, and the Bentley Bentayga hybrid.

It should also be noted that the entire fleet complies with the latest environmental standards (EURO 6) and is equipped with Start&Go technology.

 

Eco-driving at the heart of our expertise

At Chabé, the role of the chauffeur goes far beyond driving. All our salaried chauffeurs are trained in eco-driving, a method that helps both to reduce CO₂ emissions, to ensure a smoother and safer drive, and to limit fatigue behind the wheel.

Mélanie began her career with a vocational diploma in accounting before switching to business through a work-study programme. After validating her high school qualification, she gained her first professional experience as a sales assistant, particularly in the automotive sector.

Based in the South of France, she then spent seven years working in a family-run business, before feeling the need to give her career new momentum.

 

The Chabé adventure begins in Megève

At the end of 2017, Mélanie joined Chabé Megève during the agency’s opening. There, she discovered a world she had yet to explore: that of luxury chauffeur services. In this role, she focused on booking entry and immersed herself in the Group’s operational environment.

 

A return to Cannes and increased responsibilities

Building on this first experience, she continued her path within the Group. In 2018, she returned to the South as Executive Assistant and joined the Cannes office. By 2019, Mélanie was also supervising the accounting department, managing a major part of the event-related activity – especially during the renowned Cannes Film Festival.

This evolution allowed her to deepen her accounting expertise and apply it in a demanding context.

It marked a significant shift in her role, with greater responsibilities, increased precision, and growing proximity to client-related challenges.

 

Turning to international growth: the Dubai adventure

In December 2022, Mélanie had the opportunity to bring her skills to Dubai and support Chabé’s expansion in the Middle East. The challenge was significant: to integrate a newly acquired company, TLT Limo, with a different culture and working practices. Mélanie rose to the challenge with professionalism, supervising both client and supplier accounting, while supporting local teams in their integration into the Group.

“Everything had to be built from scratch. I had to learn new laws, adapt to a different culture, and above all, help Chabé become a benchmark in the region. We’re getting there, step by step – and I’m very proud of it.”

What motivates Mélanie each day? The diversity of her tasks, the opportunity to support different teams, the love of a challenge… but above all, accounting – her area of expertise.

“I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,” she says.

In Dubai, she juggles supervision, client relations and operational support with undiminished motivation: to actively contribute to the agency’s development and strengthen Chabé’s presence in the UAE.

This path, marked by new cities and fresh challenges, has allowed Mélanie to truly come into her own. “I’ve learned that I’m capable. I sometimes had doubts, but today, I’m proud to be an accountant in Dubai.”

After several years of experience in the private chauffeur industry, Michael Jones joined Chabé in March 2025 as Sales and Account Director for the London office.

What inspired you to work in the transport sector, and how have you seen it evolve over the years?

What drew me to the world of transportation is its tangible impact on people’s lives. Early on in my career, I realised that mobility is about more than just getting from point A to point B: it shapes our cities, drives economic growth, and connects communities. That real, meaningful value immediately made me want to be part of it.

Since then, the industry has undergone a remarkable transformation, driven by new technologies, environmental priorities, and evolving customer expectations. From digital platforms to fleet electrification and smart traffic management, these innovations have truly reshaped the sector.

Yet despite these changes, people remain at the heart of the service, especially in the luxury segment. Now more than ever, clients seek bespoke experiences, designed with meticulous attention to detail. That human, demanding, and nuanced dimension is what has always inspired me, and what I believe will continue to set us apart in the future.

 

Why did you choose to join Chabé?

What attracted me to Chabé was its reputation for excellence in bespoke transportation and its commitment to delivering a truly luxury experience.

Celebrating Chabé London’s fifth anniversary is a meaningful milestone, especially in such a dynamic and competitive market.
In a short time, the team has built a solid reputation for quality and personalised service. That speaks volumes about their dedication, professionalism, and passion.

As the new Sales and Account Director, joining at this moment is both an honour and a unique opportunity.
My aim is to build on this strong foundation, strengthen our client relationships, explore new growth opportunities, and continue enhancing the Chabé experience.

London is an international hub with strong demand for bespoke services, particularly in private aviation, hospitality, business travel, finance, especially roadshows, and events.
The opportunity now is to leverage this century-old legacy: expand our client portfolio, forge new strategic partnerships, and continue raising the bar for service excellence.

What is your vision for the role of Sales and Account Director at Chabé?

To me, this role goes far beyond driving revenue. It’s about building long-term relationships and ensuring that every client interaction reflects Chabé’s standards of excellence.

It means being proactive, not just reactive, anticipating client needs and offering bespoke solutions, with a focus on the finest details.

It’s also very much a team effort. By working closely with our operations teams and chauffeurs, I will make sure our commercial promises are delivered seamlessly on the ground.

My goal is clear: to position Chabé as the number one choice for premium transportation in London, while staying true to what defines us, quality, discretion, and attention to every detail.

 

Finally, is there anything you’d like to add?

I’m truly thrilled to be joining the Chabé team at such an exciting time.

An entrepreneurial journey that began in 1921

In 1921, following his return from the Great War, Maurice Chabé decided to start his own business to serve guests of Parisian palaces. A visionary with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he purchased his first car and drove it himself.

Inspired by his father’s experience—who owned a few horse-drawn carriages—he founded the Établissements Maurice Chabé and laid the foundations for a bespoke, refined, and exacting service: the Grande Remise.

 

A pioneering family legacy

In 1959, following the death of Maurice Chabé, his daughter Éliane Lo Jacomo took over the business. At a time when few women held leadership roles, particularly in the transportation industry, she asserted herself with determination and carried on her father’s work while maintaining high standards.

Thirty years later, in 1993, Agnès Lo Jacomo, granddaughter of the founder, became the head of the company. She launched a new chapter in Chabé’s development by diversifying the client base and expanding the offering to include event transportation.

This strategic shift was particularly evident during the 1998 FIFA World Cup, for which Chabé coordinated over 500 vehicles—an iconic moment that confirmed the Group’s ability to manage complex, large-scale operations.

 

A new dynamic led by the fourth generation

In 2014, Guillaume Connan, great-grandson of the founder, joined Chabé as Managing Director. He became President of the Group in 2020, alongside his mother, Agnès Lo Jacomo. Bringing fresh momentum, he modernised the organisation, strengthened the technological aspect of the service, and continued to drive the Group’s international growth.

Fully aligned with his family’s legacy, he stated in an interview: “Family is a bond that can’t be broken.”

But this measure had an unexpected consequence: the Mercedes S-Class we had specially reserved for our client became completely unusable.

With the private jet moments from landing, there was no time to lose. Jean Jacques Martin quickly mobilised his network and made a series of urgent calls to find an identical vehicle and have it delivered on site within minutes.

Thanks to this swift coordination, the replacement was carried out discreetly—just in time for the client’s arrival. When he exited the terminal, everything was perfectly in place, and the journey went exactly as planned.

Giacomo Di DomenicantonioDopo essersi diplomato al liceo scientifico, Giacomo ha iniziato a lavorare in giovane età. Muratore, cameriere, responsabile di magazzino, responsabile di sala per eventi… ha acquisito diverse esperienze professionali, sviluppando un forte senso del lavoro di squadra e dell’organizzazione.

Grazie a una sua conoscenza, ha scoperto Palazzi Agency, dove è stato assunto come Coordinator per eventi. Dal primo giorno è rimasto affascinato: “L’ufficio, i dipendenti, i telefoni che squillavano in continuazione… Ricordo di aver subito pensato che mi sarebbe piaciuto lavorare qui. Ricordo ancora il mio primo evento: era una prima cinematografica e sono stato entusiasta di lavorare accanto alle star del cinema. Ho apprezzato fin da subito questo lavoro perché era dinamico, elegante e mi dava la possibilità di far parte di un team che contribuiva al successo di un evento.

Gli è stato presto offerto un nuovo ruolo come chauffeur per eventi, incarico che ha accettato con entusiasmo. Questa esperienza gli ha permesso di interagire con autisti esperti e perfezionare le sue competenze nella gestione del servizio.
Un momento decisivo è arrivato quando gli è stato chiesto di assumere un incarico speciale: diventare chauffeur personale di Francesco Palazzi, Presidente di Palazzi Agency, per dieci giorni.

Durante quel periodo ho trascorso molte ore con lui e forse ha notato qualcosa in me, perché alla fine di quei giorni mi ha offerto un ruolo all’interno del team Operativo.”

 

Maggiore responsabilità: da Dispatcher a Head of Dispatch

Giacomo è presto diventato un elemento chiave per il team operativo. Le sue forti abilità relazionali e la sua capacità di gestire imprevisti gli hanno permesso di costruire eccellenti rapporti con gli autisti, i clienti e i partner.

Nel 2021, ha fatto un ulteriore passo avanti diventando Head of Dispatch.
È stata una grande opportunità per me ed ero entusiasta di affrontare questa sfida. Volevo essere una guida per il mio team e mi è venuto naturale, poiché ho sempre avuto questa attitudine. Ho sempre cercato di motivarli a lavorare con serenità, gestendo lo stress e i problemi in modo positivo.

Per sviluppare ulteriormente le sue competenze, Giacomo ha deciso di seguire un corso di intelligenza emotiva, con l’obiettivo di affinare le sue capacità di gestione e comunicazione per supportare al meglio il suo team.

 

Eventi memorabili e sfide superate

Tra i tanti eventi che ha gestito, uno in particolare rimane indimenticabile: il 10° anniversario dell’apertura di un prestigioso hotel a Dubai—un progetto di grande portata che ha richiesto una coordinazione millimetrica ogni singolo giorno.
Adattarsi a diversi metodi di lavoro è stata una vera sfida. Ogni paese ha i propri standard organizzativi e le proprie abitudini, e uno degli obiettivi principali era allineare questi approcci alle elevate aspettative dell’evento. Un aneddoto evidenzia questa complessità: ogni sera, la lista degli autisti veniva fornita manoscritta, con molti nomi simili. Questa situazione insolita ha richiesto prontezza e organizzazione rigorosa, trasformando questa sfida logistica in un’esperienza impegnativa ma altamente formativa.

Inoltre la maggior parte dei mezzi richiesti ed utilizzati, per soddisfare gli impegni ambientali del cliente, erano modelli elettrici. Sebbene questa scelta fosse in linea con gli obiettivi di sostenibilità, ha introdotto una sfida logistica aggiuntiva: una parte del progetto prevedeva viaggi nel deserto, un ambiente inadatto ai veicoli elettrici. Per fronteggiare questa circostanza e garantire il servizio, una parte della flotta è stata sostituita con modelli adatti alle condizioni desertiche, richiedendo maggior coordinazione e impegno tra i team.

Queste sfide, seppur complesse, sono esattamente ciò che alimenta ogni giorno l’energia e la motivazione di Giacomo. Al di là della logistica, ciò che apprezza di più è l’imprevedibilità, il ritmo frenetico del settore e il lavoro di squadra che consente di superare ogni ostacolo.

Perché Giacomo è così appassionato del suo lavoro?
L’adrenalina, senza dubbio. Trovare un’auto all’ultimo minuto, risollevare una situazione critica, essere al limite della stanchezza ma perseverare… sono questi gli aspetti migliori del lavoro. Ma ciò che amo di più è il rapporto con i miei colleghi.

 

Una nuova sfida: Affiliate Manager

Nel novembre 2024, a Giacomo è stata offerta una nuova sfida: diventare Affiliate Manager. In questo ruolo strategico, è responsabile della gestione e dell’espansione della rete di partner di Palazzi Agency by Chabé. Costruire solide relazioni, garantire un livello di servizio impeccabile e trovare nuovi partner in linea con gli elevati standard del Gruppo sono ora le sue responsabilità quotidiane.

Grazie alla sua esperienza maturata nel settore operativo, ha sviluppato una visione a 360°. Lavora a stretto contatto con i dispatcher per garantire che ogni partner rispetti gli standard di eccellenza di Chabé.

Christophe, you have an extensive background in digital and marketing. Can you tell us a bit more about your background?

I’ve always worked in the digital and marketing worlds, with a strong appetite for transformation and innovation. My career path has led me to manage structuring projects in various economic sectors and markets, with one common thread: rethinking the client experience and optimising the performance of organisations through digital technology.

Before joining Chabé, I managed large-scale digital and CRM strategies, working on projects related to optimising client journeys, improving platforms and managing data. I’ve also worked in demanding environments where digitalization has played a key role in improving services and client satisfaction, whether in BtoC, BtoB or BtoBtoC.

All these experiences have prepared me to take up the challenge at Chabé: modernising our tools, strengthening our visibility and adding value for our clients and partners.

 

What motivated you to join Chabé in 2024?

Joining the Chabé Group is above all a great opportunity to contribute to the development of an emblematic player in luxury transport.

As Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, what are your priorities for transforming Chabé’s digital strategy and how are you mobilising your team to support this transformation?

My priority is to accelerate the digitalisation of the client experience and optimise our internal tools. This means improving our booking and tracking platforms, making better use of data to anticipate customer expectations and modernising our IT and CRM tools to increase our operational efficiency.

But this transformation is not just about technology, it is above all about people. We have put together a team combining digital, marketing and IT expertise, with a management approach based on agility, collective intelligence and continuous experimentation.

I want to make it a point of honour to aim for technological excellence, while ensuring that our tools remain in line with our positioning.

Event teams work hard to transport clients to events such as Fashion Week. The upstream work often requires several months of preparation.

It starts with studying the specifications and understanding the expectations and challenges of each event, in order to advise the client and offer a bespoke solution.

The Chabé teams then take part in numerous meetings, such as site scouting, kick-off meetings with the client and the various parties involved, training sessions and briefings for our teams, etc.

In a previous article, Vincent Grenard, Director of the Luxury Department at Chabé, explains: “The expertise we’ve built up over the years has made Chabé the expert for prestigious events such as Fashion Week. Since 2010, we have been proud to accompany VIPs, journalists and employees of the leading luxury Houses.
Our project managers, who are in constant contact with the Houses, work hand in hand to finalise the logistical aspects: pick-up times, destinations and the specific needs of VIP guests.

At the heart of our event transport service are Chabé’s private drivers, true artisans of luxury.

Before each fashion show, they receive detailed instructions: the meeting point, the dress code, the parking area, the passenger drop-off zone, how to present themselves, etc. ‘Guaranteeing an exceptional customer experience is what we’re all about.

Our lounge offers a full range of bespoke services to ensure a luxury travel experience for our clients. Upon arrival, we offer an “end of platform” service, where our agents wait for our clients and then accompany them from their train to the lounge. Conversely, for departures, our clients can enjoy the lounge while waiting for their train, before being accompanied to the station by one of our agents.

Once at the Chabé lounge, our clients can enjoy a quiet space to work or simply relax while waiting for their connecting train. We also offer luggage assistance services, with the option of using a cart to transport suitcases, as well as services for People with Reduced Mobility (PRM).

In short, we take care of everything. The lounge is often used as a waiting room for Eurostar passengers, offering all the amenities they need to start or finish their journey.

 

Can you tell us the vision behind the creation of this new Chabé lounge?

The Group has designed this lounge to meet a strategic need, placing the comfort of our clients at the heart of our approach. Accustomed to luxury service, our passengers deserve a smooth, pleasant travel experience. It was therefore unthinkable for them to have a complicated or stressful experience in the station.

We couldn’t remain passive in the face of this situation. So the Group took the initiative to change things.

The Chabé lounge was designed to improve the way we welcome our clients, while optimizing working conditions for our chauffeurs. By providing a dedicated space, we have not only made it easier to welcome clients, but also reduced parking problems around the station, enabling our chauffeurs to work in better conditions. For everyone’s comfort, the lounge is equipped with a TV with news channels, WIFI, a meeting room that can be privatized for business meetings, a selection of hot and cold drinks, and changing rooms where our clients can change.

Do you have any anecdotes or feedback from clients illustrating the positive impact of the lounge on their travel experience?

We regularly receive feedback from our clients who use the lounge, delighted by the quality and efficiency of our services.
One striking anecdote is that of a Director of a Parisian Palace, who needed to change before catching his train. Our lounge enabled him to get ready in complete tranquillity, just before his departure, perfectly illustrating the usefulness of our space.

During this summer’s major sporting event, we had the opportunity to welcome numerous athletes and teams, including the Chinese delegation, the Argentine basketball team, and the Los Angeles Organizing Committee.

Finally, we also had the opportunity to “save” a VIC’s trip: his cat, who didn’t have a passport, couldn’t accompany him. We therefore kept the animal in our lounge until the client could return the next day to collect it, an anecdote that clearly demonstrates our commitment to offering a bespoke service.

Thanks to eco-driving training, every chauffeur trained significantly reduces CO2 emissions. On average, this represents a reduction of 236 kg of CO2 per person trained each year. This reduction contributes directly to our overall objective of reducing our carbon footprint.

In the heart of the Château de Vincennes, on Sunday October 6, 2024, Chabé employees gathered to take part in the Odysséa run, a solidarity sports event supporting the fight against breast cancer.

Combining physical effort and charitable action, the 5 and 10 kilometer courses were an opportunity to highlight team spirit and solidarity.

 

 

What is the Odysséa run?

Odysséa is a charity race created in 2002, which organizes sporting events throughout France every year.

The aim? To raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

Since its inception, Odysséa has raised several million euros, which are donated to research institutes to fund programs to combat this disease.

Every year in Paris, the Odysséa race brings together thousands of participants, dressed in pink, to run or walk in support of women with breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women, and it seemed essential to us to support this cause.

As in 2023, taking part in the Odysséa 2024 run is a concrete way of taking action, while cultivating team spirit within Chabé.

For several years now, Chabé has been pursuing an ambitious Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy aimed at reducing its CO2 emissions and promoting sustainable practices in all aspects of its activities.

The transition of the Chabé fleet to greener mobility has become essential to reduce our carbon footprint, while meeting our clients’ growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions.

Today, this ambition is a reality: 60% of our fleet is now made up of low-carbon vehicles, compared with just 27% in 2020. This significant evolution has been made possible by our ongoing investment in high-performance hybrid and electric vehicles.

Recent additions to our fleet include iconic vehicles such as the Range Rover P440e, the BMW i7, as well as the Mercedes EQV, EQE, and the new Mercedes E-Class. These vehicles combine elegance, comfort and performance, while offering greener transportation solutions.

Continuing our commitment to low-carbon mobility, we are pleased to announce the addition of the Bentley Bentayga hybrid to our fleet.

This exceptional vehicle embodies the marriage of ecological performance and luxury, and is equipped with a 462 hp V6 hybrid engine. This engine offers exceptional power, surpassing the 340 hp of a conventional combustion engine, while considerably reducing CO2 emissions.
